YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how GadgetGO uses personal information to operate the website and fulfil orders.
Who is responsible for your information
GadgetGO is the trading name of Uzman Khan, a sole trader. The data controller can be contacted at 64 Victoria Avenue, Wellington, Telford, TF1 1NP, United Kingdom, or by email at gadgetgo1@icloud.com.
Information collected
When you order or contact GadgetGO, the service may collect your name, email address, phone number, fulfilment choice, delivery address where needed, order notes, purchased items, payment status and technical security information. Card details are entered into Stripe and are not stored by GadgetGO.
How and why it is used
Personal information is used to take and fulfil orders, arrange collection or delivery, communicate with customers, prevent fraud, maintain security, keep accounting and order records, and operate the website. The main lawful bases are performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and GadgetGO's legitimate interests in running and protecting the business. Personal information is not sold.
Service providers
Relevant data may be processed by service providers supporting GadgetGO, including Stripe for card payments, Vercel for website hosting and file storage, the product database provider, and the configured email notification provider. Information is shared only where needed to provide those services, meet legal obligations or protect the business and customers.
Analytics cookies
If Google Analytics is configured, GadgetGO asks for permission before loading it. Analytics remains off when you reject it or have not chosen. If accepted, Google Analytics uses non-essential storage to help GadgetGO understand aggregated website use. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie choices in the website footer. Necessary storage used for the cart, security, sessions and checkout continues to work without analytics consent.
How long information is kept
Order, transaction and accounting records may normally be kept for up to six years where needed for tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal-claim purposes. Routine enquiries and support correspondence are kept only as long as reasonably needed, normally no longer than 12 months unless they relate to an order, dispute or legal requirement. Security records may be retained for a shorter period unless they are required for an investigation. Records are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy. To make a request, email gadgetgo1@icloud.com. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Complaints
Please contact GadgetGO first if you have a concern about how your information is handled. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
